 Dengue fever is a disease caused by a family of viruses that are transmitted by mosquitoes. There are four different viruses that can cause dengue fever. Dengue fever also known as breakbone fever, is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. There is no specific treatment or medicine for dengue fever. The best way to prevent dengue fever is to prevent bites from infected mosquitoes.

2How Do People Get Dengue Fever?
 Dengue fever is caused by a virus called a flavivirus. Flavivirus is transmitted by infected female Aedes mosquitoes. You can catch the virus if you get bitten by an infected mosquito. The mosquito becomes infected when it bites a person with flavivirus in their blood.

  • Destroy the mosquito habitats.
